MCS2000 CPS (Customer Programming Software) is a legacy configuration tool used to program and manage Motorola MCS2000 series mobile two-way radios. It lets radio technicians read and write the radio’s codeplug, set up conventional and supported trunked channels, assign frequencies and bandwidths, configure CTCSS/DCS tones, signaling options (such as MDC1200 and Quick Call II), scan lists, power levels, button and display functions, and other model-dependent features. The software typically communicates over a serial interface using the appropriate programming cable and is best supported on older Windows versions (such as Windows 2000/XP; newer systems may require compatibility settings). Correct version matching between the CPS and the radio’s firmware is important, and it’s good practice to read and back up the existing codeplug before making changes. MCS2000 CPS is commonly used by two-way radio service shops and fleet managers to deploy, clone, and maintain radio configurations in public safety, utilities, and transportation environments.
MCS2000 CPS is developed by Motorola, Inc. and is used by 3 users of Software Informer. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 2.0 and 2.2. The name of the program executable file is MCS2000.exe.
